Nokia fans feast your eyes on this! Motorola has unleashed it’s first candy bar style phone that is razor thin and weighs in at just 9 grams - even lighter than the Motorola RAZR! Introducing the Motorola SLVR for Cingular customers.

Motorola SLVR for Cingular is pronounced SLIVER (thin is in) and not silver as some of us first thought. Earlier Motorola SLVR was actually code named ‘Royal Blade’ and for good reason. It’s got a sharp razor like look to it.

Side by side comparison:
Motorola RAZR- 3.9 by 2.2 by 0.6 inches; 3.3 ounces
Motorola SLVR- 4.5 by 1.9 by 0.5 inches; 2.9 ounces

A quick side by side comparison shows that the Motorola SLVR is not too much longer than a closed RAZR and just a tad wider. It would be pretty easy to forget about this phone in your pocket. (The interface resembles the Motorola ROKR but a lot sleeker.) SLVR was designed especially for those of us (Nokia fans)who prefer a razor thin phone but have an aversion to the clam shell form.

One of the features that makes Motorola SLVR stand apart from the Razr phones from T-Mobile and Cingular is that it has a built-in MP3 player to play your favorite songs plus a removable TransFlash memory card so you can store your favorite music files on it.

Oddly though, Motorola SLVR L7 for Cingular does lack a headphone jack which seems strange because it has an MP3 player, though you could use the USB port for headphones. Some industry experts are speculating that SLVR will be released with a Motorola Bluetooth headset. When it comes to Talk Time and Standby Time, the SLVR has the RAZR beat in both: 6.33 to 3.00 and 420 to 200, respectively. This is a quad band GSM phone that includes Bluetooth Class 2, Push-to-Talk (PTT), VGA camera, SCREEN3 and a MP3 player.

There has been a lot of talk over the past year, in cell phone circles, about Motorola developing another razor thin phone (in candy bar form)that will attract traditional Nokia phone buyers and turn them into Motorola cell phone users. Early indications are that the Motorola SLVR may be that cell phone.

You have chosen your new car stereo and now it is time to install. The final result will depend on the quality of the installation. It won’t matter how expensive your car stereos system is if you do not install it correctly. Your speaker sound will depend on the amplifier and the type of enclosure. Your amplifier will depend on the current, and the current will depend on the alternator and the wiring. Mistakes will leave you with disappointing results. Here are a few tips that will make the installation of your car stereos system a success:

The first thing you should do is determine the location of the speakers. Speaker location is the key to quality sound. The distance between the left and right speakers and the distance between the left and right ears is not always the same. Try to make the difference between the left and right speakers as little as possible. You may have better luck if you place the speakers on the floor, but you do run the risk of the sound seemingly coming from below. The location of your speakers is imperative to the sound quality you get from your car stereo. When installing your car stereos system, place the speakers temporarily in various locations to find the perfect sound before you install them permanently.

After you have determined the perfect location for your speakers, you must use Dynamat or other similar materials to stop vibration. This is to prevent the metal panels from becoming part of your sound system. How you connect your cables and the location of the cables is essential to achieving a top quality sound from your car stereos system. Some install huge amplifiers in an attempt to get the best sound from their speaker. The fact is you do not need to over do it on the amplifier; you simply need good quality cables to connect it.

Now you can begin the installation of the amplifiers and head unit. You can choose to use the factory wires or you may want to give the head unit a separate circuit. If your car stereo has excellent quality factory audio you should have no need for an additional circuit. Use good quality cables and do not cut costs on clamps and distribution blocks. This is the time to install filters as well.

Building a speaker enclosure is the next step. There is no set rule on which type of enclosure will work best with your car stereos system. You should determine which type of enclosure will give you the sound you desire. Different sizes and shapes of enclosures will produce different sounds. The best type of enclosure is an individual choice. You should experiment with various shapes and sizes until you find the sound quality you are looking for.

After your speakers are installed to your satisfaction, be sure to upholster your door panels with colors that match your car interior. Installing your car stereos system is a highly personal experience. Experiment with various locations and connections until you find the sound quality you are looking for.

George and Judy Steiner from North Carolina have unsuccessfully maneuvered through the teenage eons with their two daughters. The countless boyfriends with modified auto stereo systems broadcasting bone-jarring bass, little room to sit due to the electronic gagets and non-existant trunks, experiences we could have done without!

F1 racing is simply the height of go-karting. It is the professional construction of the sport in full. F1 is a universal phenomenon, a multinational media empire that receives millions & millions of pounds per annum from advertising, sponsorship, & television revenue sources. Expert drivers with a millionaire life style race these amazing vehicles that are supreme with technical treats - everything from tough to make lightweight casings that glide the mechanism to tires with supreme grooving style that exemplify the tremendous power on the grand prix track.

There is no sport that best epitomizes the term “worldwide sport” like F1 motor racing. Various countries serve as active participants in developing the Formula One motor sport spectacle - Malaysia for instance, is a hot spot for F1 racing (Fernando Alonso, a Spanish-born motor racing driver driving for Team Renault recently won a motor race there) & Italy plays a crucial part in designing and generating first class, top-of-the-line Formula One cars. Rivalries are ordinary in Formula 1 - offering an edge of pleasure with each & every zip of the curve and nitrous boost of the engine. Keep up to date with the latest Formula One Teams information for the up and coming Formula One season.

Formula 1 motor vehicles can be summed up in two words: hi-tech miracle. These shiny, low riding gems completing laps at speeds up to one-hundred & ninety mph consist of nothing more than merely a framework, an engine, and 4 wheels. For a start, the engine is positioned behind the cockpit as opposed to regular vehicles. Find great offers on hockey equipment.

Cell phones have come a long way since the early days of the 1980s when they were the size of a brick and weighed almost as much. Today, cellular phones come with built-in cameras, polyphonic ringtones, and high-tech games. New “3G” mobile phones are also capable of downloading full motion video and full spectrum music. Whereas there were only a few manufacturers of cell phones in the 1980s, today there are many. In addition to original manufacturers such as Motorola and Siemens, today phones are manufactured by Sony-Ericsson, LG, Toshiba, Samsung, Hitachi, Danger, Palm, HP and others.

As wireless cell phone use increases around the globe, the old CDMA and TDMA standards are being replaced with GSM, the global standard outside of North America. Relatively new mobile phone companies such as Vodafone and T-Mobile in Germany and NTT DoCoMo in Japan have taken advantage of increased cell phone use by expanding their mobile phone offerings and plans world-wide. Also, traditional computer companies are moving or have moved into the cell phone industryPalmOne manufactures the Treo 650, HP is coming out with its own smartphone PDA and Microsoft powers the operating systems of many of the newest cell phones on the market.

In addition to being used as a method of wireless voice communication, cell phones have within the last decade morphed into mobile computing platforms. These new cell phones are powerful enough to power many applications that only a few years ago required one to be stationed at a desktop computer.

Concurrent with technological innovation and increased adoption worldwide, prices for both hardware and service plans have dropped steadily over the last decade. Whereas only a few years ago most cell phone service providers required 3 year contracts with heavy penalties for early cancellation, now one can get a free state-of-the-art phone with only a one year contract.

Beyond the cell phone hardware, whole new industries have sprung up catering to the needs of cell phone users who demand accessories such as cell phone covers, screen-savers, and ring tones. As well, SMS (simple messenging system) and MMS (multimedia messenging system) lingo is slowly entering the cell phone society vernacular. Use of shorthand abbreviations such as LOL (laughing out loud), SWAK (sealed with a kiss) and G2G (got to go) has become second nature to teenagers who are the main users of phone messenging globally.

What is Mobile SMS/ Test Messaging?

Mobile text Messaging, or Short Message Service (SMS), as we all know it, is the ability to send and receive text messages to and from mobile telephones. The text can comprise words or numbers or an alphanumeric combination. SMS was created as part of the GSM Phase 1 standard. The first short message is believed to have been sent in December 1992 from a Personal Computer (PC) to a mobile phone on the Vodafone GSM network in the UK. Each short message can be up to 160 characters is length when Latin alphabets are used.

Customer Usage and Market Growth

There is no doubting the success of the Short Message Service - the market in India alone has reached over one billion messages despite little proactive marketing by network operators and phone manufacturers. Key market drivers over the next two years such as the access of cheaper mobile technology to the masses will continue this growth path.

Mobile Messaging: How can your business benefit?

Enterprise Messaging

Enterprise uptake of mobile applications is set for phenomenal growth. By 2005, Gartner anticipates that 65 percent of enterprises will be harnessing the power of wireless applications to efficiently automate the existing business processes and use wireless connectivity for one or more user groups.

Statistics are already showing a considerable growth in the enterprise messaging, within the last seven quarters.

Where does enterprise messaging fit into your business

No matter what the nature or model of your business is, you can effectively exploit the potential of Mobile Messaging. Following are some examples of the application areas where Mobile Messaging is excelling:

1.	B2B Messaging

Mobile terminated and mobile originated SMS and MMS via UCP, XML and PHP interface

Benefits: Using industry standard protocols provide easy integration with existing systems as well as a robust and scalable model for future technologies.

2.	B2B Campaigns and list processing

Permission-based mobile marketing campaign of consumer goods, advertisement campaign, promotions etc.

Benefits: Mobile marketing provides unparallel advantage of effectively targeting specific audience level.

3.	B2B Applications

Customized mobile applications conforming to a business rule and addressing a specific target audience. Example: MIS reports to mobile sales force, critical data to mobile technical work force. The possibilities are unlimited and the flexibility is enormous!

How to choose a high quality and reliable service provider for SMS/Text Messaging for your enterprise messaging needs?

The first option that comes to one’s mind is mobile operators. However, though they have complete control over network infrastructure, they are generally not too keen to service customer for meeting their messaging needs. The prime reasons for this are:

Enterprise messaging involves complex integration with backend database/applications

The volume of messages is typically not high (except in large B2C companies)

The criticality of message delivery is extremely high

Operators largely cross subsidise ‘voice’ with ‘data’ services.

It a specific network is down, then the service suffers.

The service need extra attention in terms of providing high service levels

There are many independent providers of mobile data services focussed in the domain of enterprise messaging that provide end-to-end SMS/text messaging service. For example, ValueFirst (http://www.vfirst.com) provides SMS/Text messaging services to enterprises.

There are several advantages of working with an operator neutral service provider:

Easy and quick integration with back-end application/databases

Connections with multiple operators ensure better service quality (i.e. service is continued even if the network of a specific operator fails)

Single entry point into the mobile networks.

Uniform application access - no duplicate efforts required

Reliability and timeliness - Acknowledged mobile messaging with guaranteed message delivery information available

Integrated payment - one stop shop for all billing aspects and

Seamless and secure messaging environment.

Technology advances in cellular phone field.

Cellular phone shoppers can find many excellent cellular phones in the USA at the current moment. Cellular phone companies produce phones that are technologically advanced, have attractive design and small size, provide access to many useful features, and are easy to use. People have access to digital and camera cellular phones, as an example.

Cellular phone companies.

Nokia Corporation produces many new and technologically advanced Nokia cellular phones. Examples are Nokia 9290 Communicator that provides access to many business related features, Nokia 3589i Phone that has many advanced features, and Nokia 7210 Phone that allows you to exchange images. Samsung has many great phones like SPH-a600 digital camera cell phone that allows accessing the web and SGH-e105 phone that allows multiple messaging capabilities. Another example would be Motorola cellular phones like Motorola T720i Phone with Camera.

Wireless standards for cellular phones.

Currently in the US cellular phones use either analog service or digital service. Most new cellular phones use digital technology. Currently three digital wireless technologies are used in the USA: TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access), CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access), and GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications). Unfortunately, many times digital cellular phones may work with only one technology: TDMA, CDMA, or GSM.

Choosing a cellular phone.

First you need to find the cellular phone plan that you would like to sign up for. After you have decided with the service plan and the cellular phone company and are satisfied with the cellular phone services that that company offers you can select the phone that you like. By selecting a company and a service plan first you cover yourself from a mistake of selecting a cellular phone that uses different technology from the one that is offered by the wireless provider. At this point you can pick the phone that has all the features and characteristics that you would want.

In cars, offices, restaurants, shopping malls and everywhere else in the country, cellular phone ownership is becoming the rule, not the exception. Everybody has one, it seems — and many of them are using ATT Wireless.

ATT Wireless had a steady, successful business on its own, and then joined with Cingular in 2004 to become even more powerful. Customers with AT&T Wireless phones found that their plans got even better: Cingular offers “rollover” minutes, meaning if you don’t use all your AT&T Wireless phone minutes one month, they carry over into the next month.

Also, when Cingular and AT and T Wireless combined, it combined their coverage areas, too. Between them, nearly the entire country is covered by Cingular or AT&T Wireless mobile service. (AT&T Wireless plans ought to be good: The company has been in the telephone business for more than 120 years!)

What kind of plans does ATT Wireless offer? There are individual plans and family plans, each designed to match your particular AT and T Wireless phone needs. One popular option is FamilyTalk, where all the members on the plan can talk to each other for free. Say you, your spouse, and your child all have AT T Wireless phones. Now you can call each other as often as you like without using up your minutes. (And those leftover minutes roll over into the next month, too!)

Text messaging has become very common, too, particularly among teenagers. ATT Wireless offers many plans that include text messaging, often with rates as low as 1 cent per message. Text messaging is especially useful when you want privacy, or when talking on your ATT Wireless mobile phone is not feasible.

What if you already have a cell phone through another provider and want to switch, but don’t want to change your phone number? Luckily, it’s now possible in most cases to bring your old cell phone number with you when you join ATT Wireless. For years, cell phone providers “owned” certain numbers, but no more. The courts put an end to that practice in 2003, and now customers can usually switch from one service to another without having to get a new phone number. This keeps competition high, because companies no longer “own” their customers’ phone numbers and thus could lose them to other providers.

ATT Wireless and Cingular work hard to ensure their customers’ satisfaction so they won’t move to a different company. And when people are fed up with other plans, they can come to AT&T and Cingular to see what they have to offer.

Don’t have a cell phone yet? You’re not alone, though the number is decreasing. AT&T Wireless and Cingular can walk you through the process if you’re unsure what kind of plan and phone you need. There’s no time like the present to become part of the future!

Before you purchase any computer parts, whether you are building your own computer or fix the one you have, be sure that you know what you are purchasing. You need to do some research in order to make the right choices in selecting the correct computer parts, installing them correctly, properly maintaining them, connecting peripherals and troubleshooting when necessary. Be sure to inspect all parts you buy before installing them into your computer; a faulty part can damage the system in its entirety.

If you are building your own computer, you will need the following parts:

* Computer Case - Function

* Computer Case - Selecting

* Power Supply

* Processor(CPU) along with the Heatsink/Fan

* Motherboard

* Hard Drive

* Memory

* Keyboard and Mouse

* CD Drive

* Floppy drive

* PCI Cards

* USB Port

* Monitor

* Operating System

* IDE Cables

* Graphics Card/Video Card

* Sound Card/Audio Card

* Modem

You will probably also want to purchase a good security software program. It is important to protect your computer from viruses and hackers. And, you should also be prepared with a UPS backup system in case you lose power. Internet security software includes: Antivirus software, firewall, surge suppressor or UPS backup and a computer Internet security.

There are also accessories that you can add to make your computer fun to use. These include speakers, headphones, DVD drives, scanners, digital cameras and Webcam. There are many online computer stores who have excellent quality systems and computer parts at great prices.

You can get some fabulous deals online for quality desktop computers. And the best part about all this is you usually get a lot of free bundled goodies along with the desktop computers. You can get amazing quotes for desktop computers online, but most of the time there is a lot of fine print - so make sure you aren’t ripped off.

Take some time to go through every offer carefully. AOL, for example, is offering a desktop computer for only $199.98 but you have to be an AOL member for 12 months at $23.90 a month! That translates into $286.80 more. So, don’t just jump to any conclusions. Take your time, evaluate your needs and then look out for the best and cheapest desktop computers available.

Many manufacturers offer easy payment options, and there are a host of other schemes that enable you to purchase a new desktop computer that fits your needs. The best deals for a desktop computer are online, so you would need to go online and check what is available.

You can also get yourself a bare-bones computer kit. These computer kits are partially built, and let novice computer builders finish building them with cheaper parts. A bare-bones PC might include just the cabinet, power supply, internal speaker, motherboard, CPU and floppy drive. The CPU chip could be optional. A bare-bones PC intended for resale usually includes a low-capacity hard disk, CD-ROM drive, low-end display adapter and sound card, keyboard, mouse and speakers. Some bare-bones PCs sell for as little as $100!

With all this being said, there are a variety of options. And if you don’t want to spend a lot on a computer, but just need it to surf the net or for educational purposes, a bare-bones PC will suit your needs perfectly. There is a desktop computer available for any budget - even yours. So get yourself one today.
