It’s a given I’m not the kind of laid back single man, comfortably interested in watching junk tv without a date like a spoil sport. It’s unlikely readers probably never read me ramble about great dating and compatibility. Go figure.

Helplessness is an unfortunate popular feeling and completely ripped out of my pedigree. Even so, Here’s the situation, I had no choice but to squelch a 3-year fling and I felt a great deal for but truly carried on to nowhere. Therefore somone could say its been ages since I was dating. I don’t hold the great expectations I used to enjoy.

Living free and single isn’t bad. This much is certain, I won’t be reduced to lounge about, undisturbed, binging on Star Trek Enterprise reruns. The real reason for this bout of incidental dating loneliness? We’re not in high school, and everyone else is boring.

My former football pal, Andrew, who will never have dating boredom, sympathized because he is currently somewhere he can relate.
