Guide on Go-karting

F1 racing is simply the height of go-karting. It is the professional construction of the sport in full. F1 is a universal phenomenon, a multinational media empire that receives millions & millions of pounds per annum from advertising, sponsorship, & television revenue sources. Expert drivers with a millionaire life style race these amazing vehicles that are supreme with technical treats - everything from tough to make lightweight casings that glide the mechanism to tires with supreme grooving style that exemplify the tremendous power on the grand prix track.

There is no sport that best epitomizes the term “worldwide sport” like F1 motor racing. Various countries serve as active participants in developing the Formula One motor sport spectacle - Malaysia for instance, is a hot spot for F1 racing (Fernando Alonso, a Spanish-born motor racing driver driving for Team Renault recently won a motor race there) & Italy plays a crucial part in designing and generating first class, top-of-the-line Formula One cars. Rivalries are ordinary in Formula 1 - offering an edge of pleasure with each & every zip of the curve and nitrous boost of the engine. Keep up to date with the latest Formula One Teams information for the up and coming Formula One season.

Formula 1 motor vehicles can be summed up in two words: hi-tech miracle. These shiny, low riding gems completing laps at speeds up to one-hundred & ninety mph consist of nothing more than merely a framework, an engine, and 4 wheels. For a start, the engine is positioned behind the cockpit as opposed to regular vehicles. Find great offers on hockey equipment.

Senior Golfers Can Still Play Great Golf. Do You Want To Know How?

If you’re a senior golfer…don’t give up and don’t give into the perception that’s it’s all downhill from here.

No way!

You have a lot of GREAT golf years ahead of you, but you need to take a different approach to your golf improvement.

The approach I’m going to talk about will quickly and dramatically transform your game; and you can do this all right in your own home in less than 30 minutes.

No more teasing…this secret approach is your BODY!

Yes…it’s that simple!

Do you ever go on the course and start playing only to feel like you can’t make a full backswing?

How about your distance? Have you lost yards off your drives the last few years? And lastly, how about aches and pains? Does your back, shoulders, hips or even wrists hurt when you play or afterwards?

Then there’s only one choice!

Improve your current physical fitness, specific to your golf game.

You may have heard this before…but have you done anything about it? I know it can be confusing with all the information out there.

The first thing you need to consider is the credibility and experience of these professionals.

Do they know golf? How long have they been working with golfers. Have golfers ‘really’ improved with their programs, etc.?

I’m here to tell you there is hope…and a lot of it.

The first thing you need to do is find out what your limitations are. Is it strength? Is it flexibility? How about the mental? That’s a huge part of the game; but I can tell you, your mind and BODY are linked very intimately.

If you feel weak, tired and out of shape…your confidence will be so low it will be a miracle you can even complete a round of golf, let alone get a score you’re proud of.

It’s time to change all that! Right here…right now!

Taking ACTION “right after” reading this article is critical to your golfing future. I don’t believe in thinking about something. Dreaming about something. And not doing anything.

Have a clear, very specific picture in your mind of the kind of golfer you are capable of being and badly want to be.

I can’t tell you exactly what to do in this article. It would be 20 pages of meaty stuff that would get your mind going a hundred miles a minute.

But I hope in this article, I’ve motivated you to take a look at your ‘current’ level of fitness (both strength and flexibility) and come up with a plan (either on your own, or with the help of a qualified golf fitness professional) that will transform your game quickly and easily.

It’s not as hard as you think. Just doing a few of the ‘right’ golf stretches and strength exercises in your home a couple of times a week will make a world of difference.

Now get away from your computer and do this stretch right away! It will feel so good on your lower back.

It’s my Lying Leg Crossover:

• Lie on back with legs extended

• Raise one leg and bend at knee to 90 degrees in knee and hip

• Cross that leg over extended leg, while opposite shoulder stays on ground

• Go until slight pull in butt and lower back

• Hold and repeat once more

• Switch legs and do opposite side

This is just one simple exercise of dozens you can do with minimal or no equipment that will quickly and dramatically transform your game for years to come!
Happy golfing! And remember…”hit’em LONG & STRAIGHT!

Stress Fractures, Blood Pressure Medications: Common Runner’s Health Issues

What’s the best way to treat a stress fracture?

Bone stress fractures are very common sports injuries. Any trauma to bones, such as repeated pounding when your heel strikes the ground during running, or landing on your feet after grabbing a basketball, can cause small cracks on the surface of bones called stress fractures. In healthy athletes, they can take from 3 to 12 weeks to heal, forcing an athlete to lose valuable training time. A study from Tulane University shows that intravenous pamidronate can heal these fractures quickly and keep the playing (Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, March 2005). Bones change constantly. Calcium is carried from bones by cells called osteoclasts and carried into bones by cells called osteoblasts. Bisphosphonates such as pamidronate prevent osteoclasts from carrying calcium from bones. The athletes received five weekly intravenous infusions of pamidronate and were able to continue training, even though they had painful small fractures in bones of their feet and legs.

Will blood pressure drugs interfere with your running program?

The beta blocker drugs used to treat blood pressure and heart problems can markedly impair your ability to exercise, according to a study from Switzerland (European Journal of Applied Physiology, October 2005). How hard you can exercise is limited by the ability of your heart to pump blood from your lungs to your exercising muscles. Beta blockers markedly reduce blood flow and oxygen supply to muscles. Beta blocker brand names include Toprol, Inderal, Blocadron, Coreg, Inopran, Levatol, Pindolol, Sectral, Tenormin, Timolol Trandate, Zebeta and Bisoprol.

Beta blockers are prescribed to treat people who have had heart attacks, heart pain, heart failure, rapid heart beat and atrial fibrillation. However, even though many physicians prescribe beta blockers to treat high blood pressure, there is no data show that they prevent heart attacks in healthy people. If beta blockers interfere with your ability to exercise, ask your doctor if you can take other types of medications such ace inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers or calcium channel blockers..

UEFA Champions League Finals Bring Opportunities not Only for the Teams

AC Milan was the only UEFA Champions League semi-finalist to win on their return to home action on the Serie A during the weekend as they scored 4 goals against AC Chievo Verona. Add this to the semi-finals victory against Olympique Lyonnais and you can say you have a team worth watching.

But this pass to the finals does not only present an opportunity for the team on the UEFA Champions League but to its star Andriy Shevchenko, he is granted the chance to break a goal scoring record.

He currently has a record of 9 goals in the current UEFA Champions League Campaign, this is closer than anybody has gotten to break Ruud Van Nistelrooij’s record of 12 so basically with the three matches left; he only needs a goal a game to tie the standing record.

Another target within Shevchenko’s lead is the overall record for goals scored in the UEFA club competition. He already equaled the mark set by SL Benefica’s legend Eusebio, and he stands just 6 goals short of the mark set by Gerd Muller.

The player that got closest to Shevchenko is Barcelona’s star Ronaldinho with 7 goals on this 2005-06 UEFA Champions League tournament.

Arizona D’Backs vs. Cincinnati Reds

“I just had a bad day,” said Cruz, who allowed the nine, runs in five hits, three walks and two hit batsmen. “That was the worst game in my entire career.” But the D’Backs can’t worry too much about this game because they had their share of runs too, it was just a bad first inning for Arizona, and there’s a long season still ahead.
Lineup
1. Craig Counsell, SS. 2.Eric Byrnes, CF. 3.Chad Tracy, 3rd B. 4. Luis Gonzalez, LF. 5. Conor Jackson, 1st B. 6. Shawn Green, RF. 7.Johnny Estrada, C. 8.Orlando Hudson, 2nd B. 9. Juan Cruz, P.

Last week against the Pirates the Reds were trailing 6-0 and finished 9-8 in a game that was thrilling from beginning to end, The Cincinnati Reds seemed out of this one early. They were down by six runs in the first inning and a sixth consecutive loss looked all but certain.

Ken Griffey Jr.’s soft line drive single drove in two runs during a four-run seventh inning and the Reds ended a five-game losing streak, rallying from the early deficit to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday.

“There was no panic at all — the last thing we needed to do was panic,” catcher Jason LaRue said. “We needed to go out and get some hits, get guys over and get them into scoring position and do the little things. Today, we were able to capitalize on that.”

The Reds need to keep playing like they did in this game and like they were playing at the beginning of the season if they want to get somewhere this year, hopefully this series against the D’Backs will be very good, if you like sports betting don’t miss the chance to bet on a series such exciting as this one.

Lineup
1. Felipe Lopez, SS. 2. Adam Dunn, LF. Ken Griffey Jr., CF. 4. Austin Kearns, RF. 5. Scott Hatteberg, 1st B. 6. Edwin Encarnacion, 3rd B. 7. Jason LaRue, C. 8. Ryan Freel, 2nd B. 9. Dave Williams, P.

Texas & USC: The Battle in the Trenches

All the marbles are on the line this week in college football’s
final game of the season. While all the attention is on the
skill position talents like Matt Leinart, versatile Vince Young,
and Heisman winner Reggie Bush, games are more often than not
won in the trenches. Those unsung heroes who block, protect the
quarterback and open up holes don’t get the Hollywood glory, but
they are essential components of championship teams.

Last season Texas went 11-1 with a rushing offense that
averaged 299 yards per game, a stellar 5.86 yards per carry.
This season: 273.8 rushing yards, 5.8 ypc. You don’t do that on
skill position talent alone. Texas has blocks of granite on the
offensive line: 6-6 315-pound senior Will Allen, 6-4 239-pound
four-year starter Justin Blalock (37 starts), 6-3 senior Mike
Garcia, 6-7 315-pound Jon Scott (42 starts), and 6-5 305-pound
Lyle Sendlein.

The two times over the last two seasons they’ve been handled
was at Ohio State back in September, with 111 rushing yards,
just 2.9 ypc against the Buckeye defense. And last season, a
12-0 loss to Oklahoma, getting 154 rush yards, 3.8 ypc. Texas
averaged 12.5 points in those two games (one loss, one win).

When Pete Carroll was hired by USC five years ago, the
offensive line was among the program’s glaring weaknesses. Now
it’s a strength. In 2001, Carroll’s first season at USC, the
Trojans ranked last in the conference in rushing, averaging only
88 yards a game. Current right tackle Winston Justice (6-6,
300-pounds) and junior right guard Fred Matua arrived the next
season. The Trojans averaged 142 rushing yards and won the
Orange Bowl to finish 11-2. By 2004, the Trojans averaged 177
rushing yards and routed Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl to win
another national title, 55-19, with 193 yards rushing, 332
passing.

The 6-foot-6, 360-pound senior left guard Taitusi Lutui was
voted onto several All-American teams. Junior center Ryan Kalil,
6-3 and 285, and sophomore Sam Baker, 6-5 and 305, were
first-team All-Pacific 10 Conference. Justice is regarded a
potential first-round NFL draft pick, and Matua, 6-2 and 305,
also is considered a top pro prospect. The Trojans average 264
rushing yards a game. The quintet also kept quarterback Matt
Leinart out of harm’s way, giving up only 14 sacks as the 2004
Heisman winner directed an offense that averaged a
nation-leading 580 yards a game.

Has USC’s running game been shut down? Well, yes and now. A
year ago, Notre Dame held them to 83 yards rushing, just 2.9
ypc. However, USC won the game 41-10 passing for 405 yards! They
also ran for 99 yards, 2.9 ypc in a surprising 31-28 last minute
win over Stanford as a 22-point favorite, and Cal dominated the
Trojans allowing 41 rush yards, 1.4 ypc, yet USC escaped on a
last minute goal line stand, 23-17.

This season, no one has contained the USC ground game. Even in
the 34-31 last second win over Notre Dame, USC had 175 rush
yards, 5.6 yards per carry. And in that 50-42 great escape
against Fresno, the Trojans had 308 rush yards, 8.6 ypc. The
fewest rush yards they’ve had all season was 118 to Washington
(51-24 win) and 177 at Hawaii in the opener (63-17 win).
Needless to say, the defensive lines are going to be the key at
pressuring the quarterbacks and doing their best to contain the
runs. And good luck to them both!

Kayaking Gifts for Christmas

Finding good Christmas gifts ideas is easy if you think about a persons hobbies. If you are buying for person who enjoys kayaking, here are a few ideas for kayaking gifts.

Kayaking Gifts

Kayaking is a sport that appears to require relatively small amounts of equipment. In truth, it is much more than a paddle and a kayak, which provides you with a lot of potential gift ideas.

1. Drip Rings - Drip rings are placed on each end of a paddle and keep water from running back up the paddle to your hands. While this may sound odd given that you’re sitting in water, it is incredibly annoying to have water running over your hands all of the times. Drip rings stop this, which makes them very useful. They are also incredibly cheap, costing no more than a few bucks. Aqua-Bound is as good a brand as any.

2. Alaska Sea Kayaking Adventures - If you’re looking for a big ticket item, why not give an Alaska Sea Kayaking trip as a gift? A number of companies in Alaska provide sea kayaking tours in Prince William Sound and other locations. There is nothing more impressive than paddling up to one of the glaciers overhanging the sea. The pure beauty will leave you astonished. The cost of trips varies, but most of the expense is getting to Alaska. Do an Internet search for “alaska kayaking” and you’ll find the providers.

3. Back Bands - Sitting in a kayak for a few hours is not easy on the lower back. Back bands are devices that fit into the seat area and provide lower back support similar to those you find for car seats. Back bands are a must for long crossings. A back band of good quality will set you back between $30 and $40. SealLine and Ocean Kayak are good brands.

4. Underdeck Bags - Underdeck bags act like a little glove compartment for kayaks. Watertight, they attach to the roof of the interior space on kayaks and act like a glove compartment in a car. Makes storing valuable such as car keys, maps and journals a breeze. North Water makes excellent underdeck bags and you can expect to pay roughly $40 for one.

5. Nomad Paddle Sports Journals - A bit of self-promotion here. Nomad Paddle Sports Journals are waterproof writing journals that let kayakers keep notes during and after their trips. Really great for writing down impressions, routes taken, things seen, people met, alternative routes to be tried in the future and so on. You can click the link at the bottom of this article to see the paddle sports journals which cost $8.99.

Whether shooting the rapids of a river or cruising scenic bays, kayaking is a great sport. If you’re buying gifts for a kayaking enthusiast, the above list is a good place to start.

Rick Chapo is with http://www.nomadjournals.com - makers of writing journals. Paddle sports journals are great kayaking gifts and Christmas gifts for him or her. Visit http://www.nomadjournaltrips.com to read outdoor adventure articles and stories.

World Cup 2006 Preview - Costa Rica

Outright Odds: 500/1
Group A Winners: 16/1

Costa Rica are living proof that when it comes to football, size does not matter. The Ticos have generally been mainstays in the World Cup finals despite having country 40 times smaller than Mexico and a population of just four million. The Ticos eased to third place in their qualifying group and will aim to compete against the “bigger” sides in this year’s Finals.

Despite their overall comfortable qualification, Costa Rica almost fell at the first hurdle, a qualifying match against Cuba in which they scraped through on away goals. They re-appointed former coach Alexandre Guimaraes who guided them to the last World Cup and he has turned the team around.

Costa Rica sent out a warning, but ultimately revealed their main weakness in a recent friendly against former champions France. They raced into a two goal lead in Martinique but eventually lost the match 3-2. Their weak defence will be their main downfall and 14 goals conceded in 10 qualifiers, including five against Honduras and three at Guatemala does not bode well for more seasoned opposition.

However, where their strengths lie is in attack. Winston Parks, Walter Centeno and veteran striker Paulo Wanchope means the side will always be able to create and score goals but there is always the danger they may concede them in greater numbers. Costa Rica missed out on the knockout stages in the 2002 World Cup to Turkey due to their superior goal difference. Wanchope, his country’s all-time top scorer with 43 goals in 67 international matches will retire after the tournament and is looking for one final hurrah before hanging up his boots for good.

Guimaraes will be keen to repeat the success of the 1990 team which reached the second round on their debut following victories over Sweden and Scotland. With Group A opposition in Poland and Ecuador, there is the possibility of an upset on the cards.

If they can nick a result or two like they did back in the 2002 World Cup, a victory over China and draw with Turkey, then qualification is not beyond them. However, looking back to the heavy 5-2 group stage defeat to Brazil, if the defence does not improve, a gallant but narrow defeat may be on the horizon.

Recommended Bet:
You could not bet confidently on Costa Rica winning or even qualifying from the group stage to emulate their exploits in the 1990 World Cup. However, there may be some value in the individual match betting.

If Germany start the tournament slowly, Costa Rica could catch them cold in the opening fixture and snatch a point. There could be a possible upset in their second match against Ecuador who are themselves no great success on the big stage.

Germany vs Costa Rica draw @ 4/1
