P3 Solutions, an independent testing house, has conducted research to find out the best mobile broadband service provider in the UK and the clear victor is T-Mobile, in terms of fastest and most reliable email service and speediest web browsing. This is the third consecutive quarter in which the company has come out on top in this survey. There would be some who would doubt how reliable the survey is, as T-Mobile itself is the company which commissioned the survey.

However, this should not be taken to mean that the results of the poll are questionable, because an earlier independent survey conducted by YouGov also saw T-Mobile bagging top spots in 6 out of 13 service aspects, which included coverage and customer support.

In its survey, P3 tested mobile networks in the performance of routine internet tasks, such as website browsing, times taken to download different kinds of files, email usage and working with common applications often used by customers. The T-Mobile customer experience was found to be the best, and the upload speeds surpassed those of the closest rivals by a hefty 44%.

The chief technology officer at T-Mobile UK, Emin Gurdenli, said that the business strategy of the company had much to do with the results, as improved coverage and reliability were what consumers had come to expect from the company. He also stated that the unmatched growth in the number of customers has led to a 300% increase in overall data traffic since late 2007.
