What Makes a Luxury Car Luxurious?
Any automobile company that has spent large amounts of money for a new technological advancement on an automobile is considered a luxury. Auto’s that have added extra equipment for the comfort of the owner and /or family, such as leather seat covers, tilt steering wheel, satellite radio, a navigation system is considered a luxury.
Just last year there was a truck on the highway that when the turn signals were turned on, there were arrows on the outside mirrors that streamed across the lower part of them. So luxury is not just restricted to large autos, but now days they can be a convertible, a mini van, an SUV, or any auto that has special features for the family which includes the SUV’s and mini vans that have installed a DVD player and a DVD screen in the back to keep the kids from becoming bored.
Items such as headlight dimmer switches, window washers, rear window wipers and defrosters were at one time considered to be a luxury item, and are now standard in most all vehicles. Many SUV’s and mini vans have lay down seats, so the children will be able to take a nap on long trips. They also have auto’s available that the seats can be taken out to enlarge the cargo area. In the very early 1900’s it was a luxury to have a hard roof on an auto. Any new technological advancement will always be introduced on a luxury car before it becomes standard on other vehicles. Today you can even purchase an auto with a rear view camera.
Since the beginning of the automobile industry, there have always been luxury cars manufactured, and these luxury auto’s were the manufacturers main source of income, the more luxuries the manufacturer installed on the auto the more money they could ask for the car. This is still true today and is a very widely used sales pitch, which really works. People look for new advancements for their convenience, and comfort. Today the new hybrid autos are a luxury, but a good luxury, which came just in time for the fuel crisis of 2008. These hybrids are definitely worth the price of a luxury automobile.
Most of your luxury cars can be found at luxury car sales/lots. One of my favorite websites to visit is the site of MotorWerks.com. As a regular visitor to the site, I do a lot of daydreaming when I see all the luxurious cars they have to offer, and there are lots of them. I have looked at everything they have on the lot from this website, even their preowned models. They offer such luxury cars as Cadillac, Porsche, BMW, SAAB, Mercedes Benz, and the Infiniti, and many others that would be too many too name. You would need to check out their website for yourself to see just what sort of vehicles you could fall in love with.
